Another member of the waterproof camera family offered by Pentax is the Pentax W30. An effective underwater camera that can capture photographs up to 10 feet for 2 hourse with its enhanced waterproof design. It has a 2.5 inch LCD monitor for clear view of captured images and has bright mode that can adjust the brightness of the screen while viewing under the sunlight. While it may be great underwater it is also perfect for outdoor shooting.
It is a 7.1 mega pixel camera with 3x optical zoom that covers focal lengths from 6.3 to 18.9 mm for more detailed images. The captured images are extremely clear that it still is best even if printed up to poster size. Pentax W30 is built with a metal body that is scratchproof. The lens is made with a protective coating for superior water repellency.<p>
The 2.5 LCD screen has anti reflection coating making it more visible even while viewing it under strong sunlight and outdoors. It is also equipped with the digital shake reduction technology that help reduce image blur even while shooting in motion. It also has an ISO equivalent to 3200 that enables capturing images in fast shutter speeds. Like a camera recorder, Pentax W30 can capture high quality movies at a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. It has great macro focus for better control of the camera and is set to auto picture mode which automatically sets the camera to the best settings for various shooting conditions. W30 is also very affordable even with great features as compared to other digital cameras.
Face Recognition AF and AE mode The Optio W30 is equipped with a “Face Recognition AF and AE” function* that automatically detects and focuses on faces, regardless of where the people appear in the photo frame. In addition, optimal exposure settings are automatically conducted so that the areas with faces are not darkened even if there is backlighting.
Macro photography The Optio W30 can focus on objects at just under half an inch away for stunning close-up photography of subjects such as flowers, insects, or jewelry.
Auto Picture mode automatically determines best settings for shooting conditions The Auto Picture mode helps the Optio W30 automatically determine the best shooting conditions for Landscape, Portrait, Night Scene, and Program modes and choose the optimum settings for each subject. This Pentax original function makes photography a breeze for beginners since it eliminates the necessity of making a number of individual settings.
