N70 Nikon
Probably one of the underrated cameras ever produced, Nikon N70 is built with a solid well made body, that is also light enough to carry easily. It can handle big zoom lenses perfectly on its body (my 80-200mm f/4 AIS handles well mounted on the N70), and has a very soft shutter release sound for discreet, quiet shooting. It provides center and spot metering with manual AIS lenses, and an electronic rangefinder/focusing when using the manual focus. A 5 segment 3D matrix balanced flash used with the later models like the N75 and N80 is perfect when a D lense is used. An AF-S lens and a built-in flash works well with it too.
The N70 is Nikon’s top model in its non-pro SLR line. With its wide range of advanced features, a built-in flash, improved auto focus, and a good selection of exposure modes, the Nikon N70 makes it easy to take perfectly exposed and focused pictures with little effort in various situations. At 7mm by 3mm, Nikon’s cross-type auto focus sensor module has an extra-wide focus detection area that swiftly locks onto a moving subject. The auto focus can detect subjects in light as dim as EV minus 1 (at ISO 100). The N70 also offers both spot and wide-area auto focus.
This camera provides full manual control which actually is a great product for beginners who wish to really be creative in their photography. With its relatively low priced bracket compared to other SLR cameras, Nikon N70 gives you a good deal for your money. It is built with high quality and durability, a trademark of the Nikon company standards.
